Hello !
I am Tanja 24-year-old student from Helsinki, Finland. I study animal breeding at the Helsinki University. I am the owner of these most wonderful dogs in the world. My first very own dog Uho introduced me to the canine world and especially to the world of dogsports. I was interested about different hobbies from the beginning, but we never intended to be impassioned for the canine sports. But it happened. Though american hairless terrier is not the most common breed in the training fields most of the people have been very positive towards us. Nowadays almost all of my spare time goes with the dogs and I am absolutely happy with that!
The most important hobbies for us are competetive obedience and agility. Obedience is in my opinion screamingly interesting and challenging activity and successing on it is very rewarding. Agility, for one, is fun and energetic and I love to see how the dogs love it. I think that we will be working with both of these sports in the future. We have some goals for both of them. Beside agility and obedience we have also tried out lure coursing, tracking, canine freestyle and canicross.
I have tried to educate myself to how to teach my dogs. Cources and lectures have been very useful and little by little I understand the dogs better. I am going to attend to the classes in the future also, because there is always more to learn in this field. Beside training dogs I want to learn about the activities. The best way of doing that is getting to know some of the trainers and teachers and work in the competitions. It is always nice to get to know the people with same interests. I have official FCI kennelname called Ainutlaatuinen.
Feel free to contact me if you have questions of just like to chat. I am also always eager to have more walking and training buddies! :)
